I’ve researched and reviewed all types of printers, as well as every printer company on the planet, .
but I’m beginning to think I should just stick to Canon printers. Why? Because no matter what type of printer I’m reviewing, when I search for the best model available, I always end up reviewing a Canon. I don’t know what they do over there, but I’m beginning to wonder if they know of some type of secret technology that other printer companies are unaware of. It just seems impossible to be on top so consistently. Is there a formidable opponent out there? Yes. It would be Hp. But for the time being, Canon is #1. And it has been that way for a few years now. This is no different when it comes to portable printers. Canon sells several different models in this arena, but there’s one Canon portable printer I’d like to focus on.
Before I begin this review, please keep in mind that this is an older model. Don’t worry; I wouldn’t review an older model unless it was worthwhile. The primary reason I want to briefly go over it is because it’s so durable. It’s very possible that you can buy this machine today for around $100 and own it for 10 years without having any issues. Now that’s what I call a good investment!
The model I’m referring to is the Canon BJC-80 Portable Printer. In addition to being an extremely durable machine, you will also be able to use the IS-12 Color Image Scanner cartridge to transform it into a scanner. This is a great convenience for many. You will also have the option of purchasing a rechargeable battery, which has the potential to make life much easier for the traveling businessman. The dimensions for this versatile machine are 11.8 x 6.2 x 2.2, and it only weighs 3.1 lbs. The speed, paper handling, and quality are also very good, but I’ll leave that part of the research up to you.
