Choosing a Large Vase

Trying to find the perfect large vase to add as an accent piece can be harder then you think. You may start with looking around the room it will go in and then deciding upon a color or style.

However, shopping with a definite idea of what you are looking for can be more difficult – the perfect choice can be elusive when attempting to find what you are picturing in your mind. An easier approach might be to just look around for a vase that you love  and then seeing if you can work it into the room.

Vases are one of those items that do not have to perfectly match the rest of a room’s style or colors. A large vase can often be considered a work of art and you should feel free to choose one that brings you joy – rather than looking for a vase to match the couch pillows. If you find a large vase that has a beautiful design, don’t worry if it brings in new colors or adds a new style to the room.

If you have children and pets in your home, you may want to consider getting a large vase that is made of a sturdy material, such as bamboo or brass. There are wonderful vases that are not quite as fragile as ceramic or glass. You may also want to add some branches or tall flowers to your vase. These can be changed with the seasons to provide a fresh look throughout the year. Orchids and willow branches are a couple nice ideas for adding a bit of nature to your vase

Some people prefer to just have their vase stand on its own as an accent piece in the room. This will work well, too. Enjoy your search for the perfect vase and make sure that you choose one that you love!
